Irish-made serving boards for entertaining

Roisin Healy by Roisin Healy

A A

Looking for a gift that will genuinely be used, or fancy updating your homewares in time for some summer entertaining? We love these pieces that harness the beauty of natural Irish materials. These serving boards will look gorgeous on your counter top, or will be a beautiful replacement for boring old chopping boards.

Ballyshane Irish Wood Designs

Each board is made from 100% sustainable and locally sourced Irish hardwoods. We love the Coppenagh cheese and pizza board which is made from Irish beech. Each piece is made in Carlow.

Caulfield Country Boards

Caulfield Country Boards in Meath offers a range of beautiful Irish-made boards but we have a particular grá for The Native collection. Each board is made by hand using home-grown, hardwood flaming beech, made by brother and sister team Pearce and Louise Caulfield. Each piece in The Native collection is adorned with artwork by another Caulfield sibling, Deirdre. You can also avail of the engraving service to personalise your board if it is a gift.

The Native Collection Owl, Caulfield Country Boards, from €50

Slated

Founded by husband and wife team Ed and Tara Hammond in Dublin, Slated creates beautiful slate homewares, including gorgeous cheese boards and serving platters.

For something a little different, we love this slate and wood platter, €100.

Sam agus Nessa

These fun creations can be used as a functional chopping board or as a serving platter with a bit of personality! Made in Kildare using locally sourced and environmentally-friendly Irish timber, these boards have a stable weight for cutting and serving. Each board is handmade by Sam and Nessa in their workshop, and each piece is protected with locally-sourced food safe oil.

Wally board, Sam agus Nessa €40
