Lidl has revealed its first ever own-brand fake tan, Marbella Glow, will hit supermarket shelves from Thursday 9 July
In typical fashion, the Irish summer of 2020 appears to have been and gone during two glorious weeks in May, but thankfully that won’t stop us from getting that sunkissed ‘glow’ we all love. Self-tan has long been one the most-sought after beauty products in Ireland, with everything from tan water, to celebrity tan available here. And now, Lidl Ireland have added their very own fake tan range to the mix, and we’re very excited for a number of reasons.
Firstly, the range, called Marbella Glow, is Irish-made – it’s made right here in County Cork – and was created with Irish skin in mind. According to Lidl, Irish consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the risks of sun damage, and so sunless tanning is the perfect alternative.
Secondly, it’s both vegan certified and cruelty free – which is always good to hear when it comes to what we’re putting on our skin. And last but not least, a 150ml bottle of Marbella Glow is only €3.99! A bargain.
The formula is a mousse which comes in three shades: Medium, Dark and Extra Dark. It’s also infused with white truffle and champagne extracts combined with Vitamin E to condition your skin with antioxidant properties.
Now, we’ve yet to try it out for ourselves, but for that price and the fact that it’s made in Ireland and available in our local Lidl – you can bet you’ll see us topping up our trolleys when it hits shelves from Thursday 9 July.
