Charlene McKenna stars alongside James Nesbitt in Jed Mercurio’s new thriller, Bloodlands
Fans of Line of Duty will be excited to learn that creator Jed Mercurio has set his new show in Belfast and the first trailer is out now.
Bloodlands is a BBC thriller, with Irish stars Charlene McKenna and James Nesbitt playing detectives on the hunt for a formidable killer.
The plot follows an NI police detective Tom Brannick (Nesbitt) who, following the discovery of a car containing a possible suicide note in Strangford Lough, quickly connects it to an infamous cold case. Tom knows this must be the man who murdered his wife. The hunt begins for the legendary assasin known as Goliath, and the stakes are high.
McKenna plays Sergeant Niamh McGovern, and other familiar faces include Derry Girls’ Kathy Kiera Clarke and Lola Petticrew who starred in Dating Amber. The show will be on BBC One, but the premiere date is still unknown.
