With so many talented designers out there, it’s no surprise that the competition in the fashion category of the Irish Made Awards is fierce. Check them out below before casting your vote here

AndTate

Born from the fruitless quest for the perfect white shirt, AndTate is the brainchild of Richard Tate and Sharon Hoey, a partnership that was established in 1985. The distinctive concept for the luxury brand’s first collection was to take the key characteristics of men’s shirts and apply them to women’s shirts.

Aoife McNamara

Founded in 2019, Aoife’s label Aoife Ireland is a luxury slow-fashion brand with a vision of empowering women through their unique garments made consciously in Ireland and designed to last a lifetime of experiences.

Caroline Duffy Designs

Caroline Duffy is synonymous with beautiful floral designs on everything from dresses to homeware. She works with clients on a collaboration, create and commission basis to create art, surface and textile design inspired by nature. Whether it’s soft furnishings, a dress or swimwear, her designs and artwork will always delight and energise your day.

Ejay Griffin

Based in Co Limerick, this is a conscious, slow-fashion brand and prides itself on bright and unique designs that pop with personality, interesting textures and lots of colour. Founder Ijeoma Rosita Griffin aka. Ejay designs everything with care and precision using a fabric-first method and gaining inspiration from communities, cultures, people and places.

Laoise Carey Studio

Redefining the parameters of circular fashion in Ireland, this brand is committed to elevating and regenerating beautiful vintage, recycled or eco-friendly pieces turning it into something completely bespoke and beautiful for the climate-conscious consumer.

Linen Shirt Company

Reimagining natural Irish linen in a contemporary and stylish way, Linen Shirt Company is passionate about Irish design and the craft of sewing and wants to show you how linen can be trans-seasonal as well as extremely functional for all types of wardrobe collections. It only uses linen woven on the island of Ireland, as a way of cutting down on the air miles of the raw material before they even start.

Manley

Founded in 2010 by multi award-winning Irish designer Emma Manley, this is one of Ireland’s leading fashion brands specialising in contemporary separates and alternative eveningwear with an edgy femininity. She also creates bespoke bridal gowns built on the Manley ethos and aesthetic for that special wedding day.

Miss She’s Got Knits

At the end of 2020, Karen set up @MissShesGotKnits on Instagram to document her hobby and before long was inundated with requests by followers to design pieces for them. Her colourful designs are so cheerful and would be the perfect injection of colour into any wardrobe.

Rion Hannora

This brand treats the body as an exhibition space with Ríon designing each garment to be a walking piece of art. Creating an experience for both the garment and the wearer, her influences include everything from amateur graffiti to the Baroque Era and her creations often find themselves in the grey area between fine art and fashion.

YAWUW

The name of this brand is an acronym for You Are What U Wear and it is dedicated to leaving a positive impact on our environment, while still ensuring you look good! All the products are ethically produced and certified and made from 100% recycled or organic materials.
