Job description: Digital Content Creator
Irish Country Magazine is looking for a talented content creator to generate fresh and exciting content for Irish Country Magazine’s digital channels in order to develop its online presence. Key aspects of this role will be coming up with bright ideas to engage the core audience of the magazine, whether that be via clever videos, thought-provoking long reads, or showcasing our original photography and journalism in its best light. The content creator will work closely with the editorial, commercial, marketing and art departments to actively grow our online presence to a place that welcomes our readers as part of a unique community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new and unique content to drive digital engagement and grow Irish Country Magazine’s online community
- Develop digital strategy in conjunction with editorial, commercial and marketing teams and create digital and social content plans
- Content to include all aspects of magazine and website including interviews, vox pops, writing articles and editing video
- Manage weekly schedule on all Irish Country Magazine social handles as well as newsletters
- Support and attend industry events and photoshoots to capture content (please note this may include international travel)
- Work closely with commercial and marketing teams to help drive subscribers and revenue
Candidate requirements:
A minimum of two years’ experience in digital content creation, with strong proven writing skills. Proficiency in SEO; be able to create video for various social channels; and the ability to meet set deadlines and targets. Podcast experience would be a bonus.
Working arrangements:
Part-time, three days per week, 9am to 5.30pm, but may vary by arrangement with the Editor, Irish Country Magazine in accordance with business requirements. Fixed term contract for 11 months.
