Marry 70s boho vibes with luxe art deco glamour for a modern, fun living space

Maximalism unsurprisingly isn’t for the faint of heart, but it is a deceptively forgiving way to style your home. It may seem like anything goes, but choose your art, accessories, colours and textures carefully to create a look that is interesting and attention-grabbing rather than chaotic. Layer luxe velvets and busy but pretty fabrics, opt for retro detailing like cane and fringing, and choose beautiful yet functional pieces whether that’s art deco lighting or a mid-century sideboard. Take inspiration from the talented US interior designer Dabito, who recently shared a home tour on his blog, oldbrandnew.com.
