Beauty bio: award-winning milliner Jennifer Wrynne shares her Holy Grail products

The Irish designer on the makeup and skincare she swears by

In our December issue, out in shops now, we caught up with Jennifer Wrynne, an award-winning hat designer from Co Leitrim. From establishing a successful business to judging at Ladies Day at the Galway Races, the milliner has done it all. Here she shares her beauty tips that keep her glowing all year long

What is one product that you cannot live without right now?

Definitely my Environ Youth Essential Vita Peptide Eye Gel. The team in Millies.ie recently introduced me to it and now I cannot be without it. The eye gel contains different vitamins and minerals which leave the skin around the eye area hydrated and soft. It also helps in protecting the skin’s collagen and gives a plumped out look to the eye. With two little monkeys waking every few hours at night, my eyes need all the help I can get!

What are your Holy Grail makeup products for Ladies Day?

On the day, I generally do my own hair, tan and make up. I love my makeup to stay in place for the entire day and not having to touch it up every few hours. The foundation I use is Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. It gives me smooth looking skin and lasts for hours! I also love a lipstick that is long-lasting. I always wear a pinky/nude or red. My favourite brand is Sarah Keary make up (A gorgeous Irish brand!). She has a range of lipstick colours but my favourites are ‘Going to the Chapel’ or ‘Moulin Rouge’.

What do you do for self-care?

A face mask, a bath and a nice candle is my favourite treat. It sounds very simple but it’s just to have those few moments of silence is the ultimate self-care treat. I also love a nice hydrating facemask – Garnier have recently launched a new collection and they are divine. Such a lovely treat when all the babies are down to bed.

Do you have a signature scent? If so, what is it and why?

My favourite scent is Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. It’s the one and only perfume my Mum wears and I think it’s my favourite because it reminds me of her.

And, finally, what’s your favourite beauty product of all time?

I have to go with Diorshow black mascara! And my favourite hair tool is the LanaiBLO hairdryer.
