On Thursday, 5 October, the best of Irish fashion, beauty, craft and design gathered to celebrate Irish products and businesses at the Irish Made Awards 2023.

Each guest received a stunning gift from an Irish producer and there was also a spot prize for each table, a goody bag worth over €1,000 for the best social media post and an overnight stay in The Lodge at Ashford Castle for the Best Dressed on the night.
The event was hosted by Ireland AM presenter and Irish Country Magazine columnist, Muireann O’Connell, who modelled two fabulous looks from Irish designer Helen Steele.
Irish Country Magazine Editor Klara Heron took to the stage, wearing Aoife McNamara, and gave a passionate speech about the importance of supporting small businesses and the theme of the night – collaboration and celebration. She commended every business who had made the shortlist, previous winners, established businesses who have paved the way, and gave a nod to future entrepreneurs just starting out whom she hopes will be joining them in years to come.

Minister Neale Richmond, TD, from the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment with special responsibility for Business, Employment and Retail, made a short but meaningful speech where he paid tribute to the makers and creators who are doing so much for our economy. At the end, he added a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to each and every person in the room who either runs a small business or supports locally made Irish products.
The event was co-sponsored by Guaranteed Irish and the Design Craft Council of Ireland, whose immense support was so appreciated and recognised by all businesses in the room. Not to mention the meaningful support from our wonderful category sponsors – Ayu Beauty, Magee1866, Dole Foods, Avoca, Juvi, Powerscourt Distillery, Blarney Woollen Mills, Johnny Magory, Carroll’s Irish Gifts, Ballseedy, Foxford, The Burren Perfumery, Weir and Sons, and Aoife McNamara – who handed out the awards (made by Shane Holland Designs) to the worthy winners throughout the night.
