The Irish singer songwriter is passionate about bringing her genre of music to a younger audience and releasing music that matters

Where did your love of country music come from?

My love for country music stems from its heartfelt storytelling, rich melodies, and emotional authenticity. The genre’s ability to connect with listeners on a personal level has always captivated me and continues to inspire my own song-writing. I also have my parents to thank because it was always playing in the kitchen!

Who were your favourite singers growing up?

Growing up, I was inspired by a diverse range of singers. Some of my favourite artists included Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood whose music resonated with me and influenced my own style and sound.

When did you realise that you wanted to pursue singing as a career?

I realised that I wanted to pursue singing as a career from a young age. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and as I grew older, I knew that I wanted to share my love for music with others through performing and song-writing. I busked on the streets of Ireland for years to try and get discovered or get stopped by that one person that might see something in me. I just knew music was all I was good at and I said I need to stick at it and see where it might take me.

On The Late Late Show, you said you’d made a promise to your friend that you’d be on the stage in one year. Do you believe in visualising and manifesting your goals?

I believe in a combination of visualising goals and putting in hard work to achieve them. Setting intentions and staying focused on my aspirations has been key to my journey as a musician and a person, but dedication, perseverance, and a bit of luck have also played important roles in my success. I think regardless in life whatever you want it’s possible to achieve it if you really wanna make things work!

Who would you most like to do a duet with?

I would love to do a duet with Cian Ducrot on the national stage and collaborate with Carly Pearce or Morgan Wallen on an international platform. These artists bring unique talents that I admire and respect, and it would be a dream come true to create music together.

What do you think is the biggest misconception about country music?

One of the biggest misconceptions about country music is that it is limited in style or subject matter. In reality, country music is a diverse genre that encompasses a wide range of themes, sounds, and influences, reflecting the depth and complexity of human emotions and experiences.

What are your plans for the second half of 2024?

In the second half of 2024, my plans include going on a UK tour with Derek Ryan, releasing new music and becoming the best version of myself showcasing who I really am and releasing country music that matters to me. I am excited to continue sharing my music with fans and exploring new opportunities to grow as an artist.

What are you working on next?

Currently, I am working on new music, writing songs, collaborating with other artists, and planning future performances. I am dedicated to honing my craft, expanding my musical horizons, and pushing myself creatively to bring fresh and engaging content to my audience.
