13-15 June: Retro Cannonball 2025

Don’t miss Retro Cannonball as it rolls around again featuring 100 classic cars, free family live entertainment and that unique festival atmosphere that had made it famous. Cannonball has already raised almost €2m for Irish children’s charities and this year are raising funds for the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation. Featuring cars from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s including vintage Mustangs and sleek Corvettes, an impressive lineup of iconic automobiles will create a nostalgic parade as they roll through picturesque landscapes. A must-visit for any car-mad kids in your house!
14-22 June: Team Hope Tea Party

Children around Ireland are being asked to support vulnerable youngsters around the world by hosting a tea party in their final weeks of school. The event aims to raise money for Team Hope, which works to transform children’s lives by tackling poverty and inequality in African and Eastern European countries. Of course, is not just confined to schools – sports clubs, businesses and individuals across the country are all asked to take part and have fun! 16-20 June: Ice-Cream Fundays for Down Syndrome

Irish Matilda actress Alisha Weir teamed up with Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI) to launch Ice Cream Fundays, which is back this month! Taking place across schools, communities and workplaces from 16-20 June, DSI is asking everyone to sign up and host an Ice Cream Fundays party to raise vital funds and help children access Speech and Language Therapy. In 2024, Down Syndrome Ireland developed an innovative Speech and Language Therapy Assistant programme, that has changed lives and helps to ensure no child is left behind.
June – August: Summer camps at Airfield Estate

It might not seem like an obvious choice for a day out with the kids but Airfield Estate, based in Dundrum, is a dedicated sustainable food hub and Dublin’s only working urban farm and gardens. It’s the perfect place to take students for some post-study stress relief or just to have a peaceful day out with friends and family. There are fantastic workshops and camps taking place over the summer so visit airfield.ie for information on those and to avail of the free entry for exam students for the month of June.
June – August: Voyages at The Ark

This summer, The Ark Cultural Centre for Children is giving young voices a chance to take the lead in the world of art with Voyages, a unique exhibition curated by children, for children. It will be in situ at The Ark this summer, open each Saturday from 7 June and every Wednesday – Saturday from 2 Jul – 23 Aug. The exhibition is the result of a series of creative workshops led by artist and collaborator Róisín White, with a group of 12 young people. See theark.ie for more information.
Anytime: The Little Museum of Dublin

The Little Museum of Dublin, located on St. Stephen’s Green, has reopened after a stunning multi-million transformation over the historic townhouse’s four floors. Described as one of the best things to do in Dublin, the famous 29-minute guided tours are a celebration of great storytelling, with history, comedy and some of the friendliest people in Ireland. The museum has an expanded and reimagined exhibition space, a new youth education space and an enriched collection of artefacts donated by the people of Ireland.
