From the tweed capes to the cosy knits, we want it all
We have to hand it to Claudia Winkleman’s stylist for the BBC1 hit series The Traitors – she is killing it (pun intended).
Sinead McKeefry has created look after look for the presenter that is so exquisitely suited for the murder mystery show set in a Scottish castle, it has actually become part of the reason we watch it!
If you haven’t seen the show yet, you’re missing out. If you’re as obsessed with it (and Claudia’s wardrobe) as we are, here’s how to get her look from these fabulous Irish brands and makers.
Magee 1866: Amanda Coat in Moss Green, Camel and Sea Blue Plaid – €525
We adored this look on Claudia in the current series of The Traitors and this stunning coat is a great way to take the look through the colder months and into spring. Cosy, elegant but full of potential for styling up or down depending on the occasion.
Tríona Design: Unisex Crew Neck Aran Sweater – €160 (sale price)
Every episode, we are agog to see what sweater Claudia will be wearing to the breakfast room as she shares the details of the next mission. She’s a big fan of an Aran knit so we don’t think you can go wrong with this fabulous hand knit style that comes in an array of colours.
Dubarry: Dunmore Country Boot – €279
Wellies but make them stylish! Claudia wears all kinds of boots on The Traitors – Chelsea, knee-high, ankle, sock, the aforementioned wellies – but these are a great compromise of them all. Practical but fashionable, this pair is ideal for a country weekend with lots of outdoor activities. Featuring a GORE-TEX lining and cushioned footbed, they are perfect for wet weather and exactly what Claudia would need for any late night missions with the Faithfuls or dodgy dealings with the Traitors…
Magee 1866: Tweed Blazer – €262.50
We can absolutely see Claudia rocking this gorgeous blazer from Donegal brand Magee 1866. The peaty brown and camel houndstooth design and colourway is perfect for the Scottish highland vibe and can be styled in so many ways depending on the season.
Jack Murphy: Navy Tailored Cape – €400
Apart from her knitted jumpers, the cape is probably Claudia’s signature traitor look. She has rocked so many great ones over the last three series and we love this one for its clean, sharp lines and elegant silhouette. Classically structured with a waistcoat underneath, the slightly puff shoulders and leather detailing are the cherries on top!
Paula Rowan: Danielle Red Gloves – €255
We’re big fans of Claudia’s red lip, red gloves combo as she tells us exactly what the Traitors are doing under the cover of darkness. To get that opulent feel, try these blood red silk-lined gloves finished with a double cuff and button fastening for an eye-catching flourish.
Stable of Ireland: Irish Tweed Trousers: €380
There’s a theme to Claudia’s Traitors wardrobe and it’s dark shades of tweed and wool! When it comes to trousers, this pair made with wool tweed in a useful brown tone with a dark navy pinstripe is perfect under the ankle boots she loves to wear or tucked into wellies for an outdoor stomp around the castle grounds.
Very.ie: Religion Long Hair Faux Fur Coat – €250
I think it’s fair to say we all gave a collective gasp when we saw Claudia wearing this outrageously dramatic coat on the show! If you want to steal the style, this coat made from luxurious faux fur with a soft long haired texture is a pretty good dupe. Featuring long sleeves and a sophisticated shawl collar, it’s giving warmth and endless styling options.
