Timeless winter coats to have in your wardrobe for years to come

This item of clothing is well worth investing in to ensure you are kept cosy this winter season

A warm and hardworking coat will be your best friend this winter. Worn day in, day out as the temperatures plummet, these coats will not only keep you looking sleek, with their classic silhouettes and styles, but they will also keep you nice and toasty.

A great winter coat is well worth the investment, as they can last for years in your wardrobe and prove time and time again that great quality pieces are made to last.

A winter classic, this structured belted coat features military-style gold buttons, a fabric belt and an elegant silhouette. As well as that, the khaki green makes a nice change from an all black look.

This turquoise shade will cheer those dreary winter evenings right up. The classic twill, single-breasted style will look equally sophisticated over jeans and a chunky knit, as it would over a midi dress and some knee high boots, for a trip out over the weekend.

The Outnet – €293

This faux shearling coat by Stand Studio is equal parts cosy and fun. Sweden-based designer Nellie Kamras infuses each collection with Scandinavian refinement and effortless French style. Known for their outwear and handbags, often with faux fur and shearling elements, this brand is one to have on your radar for the winter months.

Helen McAlinden – €402 (sale)

This classic double-breasted silhouette adorned with four elegant brown horn buttons, draws inspiration from refined men’s tailoring. The sand colour is likely to go with most pieces in your wardrobe from sleek tailoring to glamourous dresses over the Christmas period. With an emphasis on sustainability within her business, Helen’s designs are made to stand the test of time.

Jack Murphy – €590

Mango – €119.99

This faux leather, fur-effect coat looks a lot more expensive than it actually is. With two side pockets and double button fastening it’s as practical as it is stylish while the contrasting material textures sets it apart from other long black coats.

The Landskein – €989

The ‘Amber’ coat in chocolate and black check tweed, gives off a very luxurious vibe. The deep tones to this coat are simply delicious and will elevate any outfit this winter season. Styled here with the optional belt, you can dress this look up to the nines or keep it casual with jeans and a cardigan underneath, and still feel incredible. Made from 100% fine lambs wool, the fabric feels as good as it looks.

Kindred of Ireland – £1250

With a higher price point, this is definitely an investment piece but one that could certainly be handed down to the next generation. Originally focusing on beautiful Irish linen, Kindred of Ireland has just launched its beautiful tweed collection comprising of coats, skirts, trousers and the most beautiful bow beret. With their signature bow attached, the Amy coat (named after the founder) makes a statement and is sure to wow anyone that passes you by.
