To celebrate ‘Wander off the Track’, a new promotional campaign from Carlow Tourism, we have an amazing break away to offer you and up to 5 family or friends in one of the beautiful self-catering lodges located in the parkland grounds of Ballykealey House Hotel, Carlow.

Located in Ireland’s Ancient East, nestled beneath the Blackstairs Mountains and close to the picturesque village of Ballon, sits the enchanting 19th century Ballykealey House. The former Lecky family home, today the house combines history with every modern convenience offering guests a relaxed and refined atmosphere.

A perfect rural retreat, the 15 self-catering lodges adjacent to the house on the extensive grounds offer a flexible accommodation option. Each two-bedroom, two storey lodge has a full kitchen and living area, complimentary wifi, parking and can accommodate up to 5 people. The nearby village of Ballon can supply you with everything you need for your self-catering stay including the local butchers, shops, bar, café and take away.

The lodges are the perfect base to explore all that Carlow has to offer from kayaking and paddle boarding on the River Barrow to hiking trips on Mount Leinster or the Blackstairs Mountains to strolls around Ireland’s most breath-taking gardens in Altamont Plant Sales, Delta Sensory Gardens or Duckett’s Grove.

This wonderful prize includes a midweek two-night stay for up to 5 people in one of the Ballykealey House self-catering lodges, year-round, subject to availability.
