Our Photography Competition is open for entries

If you are a budding photographer or someone looking to showcase your work, we want to hear from you

Do you have an eye for beauty, detail or lining up the perfect shot?

Whether you enjoy photographing people, nature, animals or simply capturing a moment of exquisite beauty, we want to see your work. Irish Country Magazine’s new Photography Competition showcases the talent of new and practicing photographers while simultaneously celebrating the everyday and extraordinary scenes of life in Ireland.

How to enter:

Like our Short Story competition, there will be a different theme for each issue which you may interpret as you see fit, so please be as creative as you like. Send your image to us via the form below by 5.30pm on 7 September* to be in with a chance of winning.

The competition is open to all ages and the winner will receive a year-long subscription to Irish Country Magazine and have their work featured in the latest print issue while the top five images will appear on irishcountrymagazine.ie.

The theme for the next issue is Strength and will appear in the November 2026 issue of Irish Country Magazine, out in August. Other remarkable entries will feature on our social media accounts, in celebration of your creativity.

Please include a title for the image, a short description of when and where the image was taken and your name in full.

*Terms and conditions:

– Each entry must be the original work of the person submitting it.
– Please do not add any visible watermarks to your entries.
– All photographers retain the copyright of their work.
– Electronic files sent as attachments will not be returned and Irish Country Magazine accepts no responsibility for submissions in any other form. Prints or physical media sent as submissions will not be returned.
– If your image contains people, you must have their consent for their likeness to be used before submitting.
– The photographer warrants that the rights (of any kind) to the photograph have not previously been sold or granted to any third party.
– The finalists grant Irish Country Magazine the right to use the images in electronic form or in print for the specific purpose of promoting the magazine and its Competitions/Awards without restriction in any media.
– Irish Country Magazine agrees that all images used will be credited to the photographer. Irish Country Magazine will not be responsible for unauthorised use of any image by a third party.
