We attended M&S’s first-ever catwalk show in Ibiza: here’s our fashion writer’s verdict

Fashion and Features Journalist Megan Fox reports back on Marks & Spencer’s exciting SS26 show

M&S held its first-ever runway show last night that felt like something straight out of The Devil Wears Prada. A very fashionable crowd of fashion editors, content creators and famous friends of the brand were all flown to Ibiza to attend the particularly special residence of “Casa del Compliments” hosted by none other than Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg.

The collection definitely felt worthy to be highlighted on the free spirited island that is Ibiza. Chic blazers teamed with delicate lace bodysuits and fringe skirts give the perfect balance of summertime chic mixed with cool party girl. While lace trimmed tiered boho dresses and tops in neutral colour palettes bring that effortless bohemian feel that is so welcomed in the summer months, particularly when leaning into island life.

However, this collection is all super wearable. The sequinned crotchet beach cover ups were amongst some more practical styles like linen wrap tops and wide leg trousers that make for great go to pieces for a summer wardrobe at home too.

The menswear also stood out as being totally levelled up with relaxed denim jeans teamed with light blazers and base ball caps for a laid back feel. Their linen suiting is ideal for summer weddings and had such an elevated look to them in rich earthy tones.

With hair by the likes of the one and only Sam McKnight and fashion’s most sought after models such as Jill Kortleve, this runway show felt like something you would find at fashion week by one of fashions luxury power house brands. The clothes were also styled in a way that felt super luxurious. But the best part is, they are all at an affordable price point. This M&S summer collection will leave you feeling so high-end without breaking the bank. Love that!
