It’s never a bad idea to prioritise your wellbeing and invest in time to rest and recharge

Powerscourt Springs

Set on 38 acres of Wicklow countryside, this is a health farm for adults only that provides the perfect opportunity to return to nature and embrace simple pleasures in the most charming environment.

“I loved my stay in Powerscourt Springs. From the forest bathing (which doesn’t involve a swimsuit or any type of water!) to the beautiful yoga class and guided meditation, I found myself switching off in a way I hadn’t done in a very long time. I thoroughly enjoyed my 40-minute “Coconut Cocoon” spa treatment but there is an impressive list to choose from, including several pregnancy massage options. The weather wasn’t good enough to explore the local hiking trails around the property but there was no way I was leaving without spending time with the adorable llamas on site and they didn’t disappoint!” – Claire, Online Editor

Carton House

“If you are looking for a really sumptuous and luxurious way to relax and unwind after a busy start to the year then Carton House, in Co Kildare has created a real treat for the soul. Having teamed up with Sinead Mooney, better known as ‘Moons Yoga’ they have created an all-inclusive luxury wellbeing retreat that truly helps you unwind, reset and reconnect with yourself and the lovely surrounding nature within the grounds of Carton.

“My mom and I got to enjoy a new year “Mother and Daughter” treat that left us feeling blissfully chilled out after an unusually busy January. The retreat is a perfect balance of zen-like luxury, while the sound bath on the second day is something not to be missed. Much like the hotel rooms’ beds and pillows, you will leave Carton House on a cloud.” – Ariana, Sales Manager

The next retreat dates are 24-25 Feb and prices start at €490 per person. Click here for more details.

Wineport Lodge

“French botanical skincare line Yon-Ka recently invited me to a wellness retreat at Co Westmeath’s Wineport Lodge, in celebration of turning 70 this year. From the moment I arrived at this luxury lodge on the shores of Lough Ree, I felt blissed out. Cedarwood Spa is one of the most beautiful I’ve been to in Ireland; it’s small but perfectly formed, with the most stunning lakeside views — particularly from its outdoor baths and heated infinity pool. You can also unwind in a hot tub on the hotel’s floating pontoon with a glass of bubbles to really amp up the relaxation.

“During my visit, I tried Yon-Ka’s Hydralessence Treatment, which is the most comforting, refreshing facial for skin that needs an intense hydration boost. There are so many heavenly layers to it: from the warming mist of essential oils to a face and neck massage, it’s so much more than your usual facial.” – Niamh Devereux, Acting Editor

Wineport has a Spa and Stay package that includes a 30 minute treatment in the spa as well as use of the hot tubs, breakfast in bed and dinner. For more information, visit wineport.ie
