The family-favourite Wild Lights has returned to Dublin Zoo, with fun for adults and kids alike. The light show that takes place each year involves over a thousand lanterns. The theme for this year is Around the World, which will take you on a trip – without the need for a covid cert or a passport.

The silk lanterns will jet visitors to the Eiffel Tower or the Egyptian pyramids, without a layover.  As well as debuting a brand-new theme, Wild Lights will extend into the African Plains for the very first time ever.

Opening details

Wild Lights will open to the public from Thursday, 28th October until Sunday, 9th January 2022. Throughout November,  it will be open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening from 5 – 10 pm. From 1st December until 9th January, opening times will be extended to 4-9 pm, seven days a week (excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and St Stephen’s Day).

Much like the Zoo’s Safari trail, the lights have been laid out to allow for a safe trip for all. Visitors will follow a one-way walking trail, with staggered arrival times. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout. Face coverings are recommended in areas where distancing is difficult.

Tickets

Admission will be €22 for adults and €18 for children. Annual pass holders can avail of a special rate of €20 euro for adults and €16 euro for children. Children under the age of three go free but will still need a pre-booked ticket.

Tickets are on sale now at dublinzoo.ie
