Gift is one of the most competitive categories in the Irish Made Awards, with a huge number of entries each year. There are so many makers across all disciplines who are making pieces that bring a little joy to someone’s day, whatever the occasion. Here, meet the Gift finalists before casting your vote in the Irish Made Awards 2022. 

All Around the Sun

Fine artist Anna O’Byrne and graphic designer Brian Heffernan create uplifting cards from beautiful, sustainable paper. Using G.F. Smith Colorplan paper from the UK, All Around The Sun creates stationery by hand in their studio in Arran Quay, Dublin 7, and work with Irish businesses to create their notebooks and framed pieces.


Ground Wellbeing

In 2020, wellness curator Peigin Crowley founded Ground Wellbeing to develop spa treatments and wellness products. The Sleep Sound Gift is an aromatherapy ritual to ensure a deep and restorative night’s sleep with a calming body oil and face balm.

Grounded Pottery

Mother daughter team Emma and MArjorie make sustainable ceramic ware by hand in Co Kerry. With sustainability as a core value, their travel mugs are made in Ireland, with clay which is one of the most renewable materials. 

Ha’penny Design

Michelle Goode makes a range of wooden postcards and archival prints printed in Ireland with plant-based inks and recycled paper. Her designs are inspired by vintage tourism posters.

Hazel Mountain Chocolate

Hazel Mountain Chocolate is unique in Ireland as it is made direct from the cacao bean. Based in the Burren in Co Clare, founder Kasha Connolly teamed up with artist Corrina Earlie in Howth to create a unique gift set.

Kopper Kreation

Emmet Bosonnet founded Kopper Kreation in 2018 to reduce, reuse and recycle scrap materials from indystry in Ireland, creating lamps, vases and more pieces for the home. All products are handmade in a Dublin 1 studio in The Chocolate Factory creative community.


Maeve and Aran Pudney make their maps at their workshop in the Rathcormack Craft Village at Branley’s Yard in Sligo. The layered 3D relief maps are a unique gift that capture a special place and memory.

Pure Oskar

Pure Oskar offers natural products, made with responsibly sourced ingredients, packed in sustainable packaging, but most of all, their range is memorable, quirky, and fun. Pure Oskar soaps are made with cruelty-free, moisturising ingredients that are kind to skin.

Smyth Knives

Paddy Smyth has spent seven years honing his craft, making his knives n his workshop in Roscommon town. He has developed workstations for all the different steps and stages of bladesmithing.


Sómas is a mindfyulness brand making candles, room mists, diffusers and home accessories to help create an immersive self care ritual. The home fragrance products  are hand made in the Sómas studio in Cork or by their partner company in Co. Down.

The Designer of Things

Bert Dufour creates contemporary wall art capturing Ireland’s amazing coastal locations, including 50 lighthouses. The collection has grown to include objects and landmarks, and notebooks.
