Join Hothouse Flowers founder and member Fiachna Ó Braonáin for six nights of songs and stories featuring household names and rising stars on the Irish music scene.

Running every Thursday on RTÉ 2 at 11.30pm for six weeks, Tradfest: The Dublin Castle Sessions is an eclectic mix of talent from across Ireland.

Filmed in the stunning State Apartments at Dublin Castle, the show produced by Tradfest and Born Optimistic features performances by over 50 artists including Altan, Dervish, Hothouse Flowers, Eleanor McEvoy, Tolü Makay, Enda Gallery, Moxie, Steve & Joe Wall, Luka Bloom, Laoise Kelly, Karen Casey, Kate Ellis and Emma Langford.

Performers will share their songs and the stories behind them, and will also come together in unique collaborations.

2020 was a year that saw many festivals fall by the wayside due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however TradFest actually got bigger and went global during this time by pivoting from live events to broadcasting high quality online shows and also getting involved in TV production employing artists, crews and entertaining audiences across the world while showcasing Dublin as a hub for musical talent.
