Seasalt

Cornish clothing brand Seasalt opens its first shop outside the UK this week, in Clonakilty.

Clothing brand Seasalt originated in stunning Cornwall and when it was time to expand, the brand chose our very own coastal haven of Clonakilty as the first site outside the UK.

Seasalt founder, Neil Chadwick, holidayed in Ireland as a child and believes the West Cork town is a natural fit for the brand.

“We’re delighted to be able to bring Seasalt to Ireland. It’s an exciting new venture for us – Clonakilty is a brilliant location with many similarities to our Cornish towns, from its rich Celtic culture to the breathtaking scenery. We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone to our new shop.”

The brand which is known for crafting textiles from natural fabrics and yarns such as organic cotton, merino, bamboo and linen, stocks womens clothing, plus size, petite wear and a small menswear collection.

The brand wants to ingrain itself in the local community. As well as employing 10 people, the new team will nominate three local charities in which they will each spend a day volunteering in 2019. In addition, one of these charities will receive a donation of €500.

For more, visit seasaltcornwall.co.uk or find the shop on Pearse Street in Clonakilty.
