A fusion of fashion, abstract art and Savile Row have resulted in a striking AW25 collection for this tailoring brand

Growing up in an environment full of galleries and surrounded by a family full of artists, it is no surprise that Banshee of Savile Row designer Ruby Slevin’s latest collection is inspired by artist Eleanor Ekserjian. The duo met when Eleanor originally came to Ruby as a client and they instantly found a connection and mutual love for the combination of craft and design. Thus, the Interwoven collection was born.

Speaking to Irish Country Magazine Ruby said: “It was a dream come true to put this together and one of those pinch me moments that don’t happen everyday in life.”

Leaning into her Irish heritage, Ruby gave artist Eleanor some Donegal Tweed and Irish linen swatches as inspiration for creating this collection. Eleanor’s completed paintings on linen canvases were hanging as the backdrop to the AW25 show that took place in London’s Messum’s Art Gallery. While her paintings made for the perfect backdrop, it was Eleanor’s live painting of a crisp white Banshee coat that was a stand out moment at London Fashion for sure.

As the other models walked around the museum showcasing the new season looks, Eleanor created a brand new piece of wearable art right before our very eyes. Ruby says “I wanted to create a collection that embodied the precision and craftsmanship of Savile Row, turning it into wearable abstraction in the spirit of individuality that I see in bespoke tailored garments.”

Banshee of Savile Row, is in fact the first and only fully bespoke tailoring house for women on Savile Row. The name “Banshee” draws inspiration from powerful female symbolism and Irish mysticism. This powerful feminine energy is mixed perfectly with the masculine in their new season tuxedo style look complete with silk bow tie in Eleanor’s graphic print.

They have also added pocket squares, neck ties and silk shirts in this striking print. Running as a limited edition style, they are made even more special by each individual item being a completely unique pattern.
