Elle Gordon shares the products that are on her radar right now
Whether you need a makeup upgrade, some skincare product inspiration, your hair is a little lacklustre, or you simply feel like treating yourself; here are some buys that have made a big and beautiful impression of late.
Cellular Hydration Barrier Repair Sleep Mask, €55 – Murad
This is a hydrating mask that I think anyone suffering from very dehydrated skin should have on their beauty shelf. It is a moisture-boosting rescue mask for damaged skin. It is intensely soothing and deeply hydrating and works as an overnight treatment to repair dry, red, and rough skin at the cellular level. Insider tip – If you buy it from murad.com you will receive 20% off your first order. We love a smart purchase. It is also available in Murad stockists nationwide.
Plump UP Peptide HA serum, €85 – Trinny London
It’s official. Trinny London; the makeup and skincare brand that has been making waves in the beauty-verse has landed in Dublin and is now stocked in Brown Thomas Grafton Street and Planet Beauty. I was lucky enough to pop along to the launch last month to meet the founder, the incredible Trinny Woodall. Many of you will know and love Trinny from her years of dominating our television screens as one half of ‘Trinny and Susannah’. Now, her focus is for all of us to love our skin. She is helping us to do so with her plethora of makeup and skincare products that pack a glow-inducing punch. While I haven’t tried them all just yet I am loving the effects of this hyaluronic serum. It feels lovely and lightweight while being packed to the brim with skin-loving peptides and hyaluronic acid. It leaves my skin feeling super plump and hydrated. A winner for sure. Check out brownthomas.com or trinnylondon.com.
Density Thickening Low Shampoo, €15.75 – Alfaparf Milano
I love this thickening shampoo. It features a biodegradable formula that gently cleanses your hair and gives body for a thicker and more revitalised-looking finish. If you are blessed with an endless head of locks, this isn’t the one for you. However, if like me, your hair errs on the side of ‘fine’, this is a product you might like to try. Need a little bit more of a nudge? It boasts an innovative technology called ‘Filler Complex’; a complex of amino acids and peptides that acts internally and externally on the hair fibre to nourish and strengthen fine hair, creating a barrier effect to protect the hair and scalp. The proof is in the happier hair. Available in salons nationwide and on millies.ie.
Soufflě Bronzer, €26 – By SK
If there is one beauty look I love it’s a sun-kissed glow… without the sun damage. That is why I was delighted to see that Irish entrepreneur and makeup artist Sarah Keary has added to her popular makeup range with a new ‘soufflé’ cream bronzer. Available in two shades; Light-Medium and Medium-Dark, the lightweight formula blends seamlessly onto the skin leaving a soft and natural glow. And I am delighted that it is made with a cream formula. Goodbye horrifying ‘my-bronzer-broke-in-my-bag’ moments. If you are on the hunt for a new bronzer this might just be the one for you. Available from over 100 stockists nationwide and sarahkeary.ie.
Burst Bodycare, From €6.75 – M&S
I was thrilled to see that M&S have launched their own-brand body care range called Burst Bodycare. Made using up to 98 per cent natural ingredients, their body butter is touted as the highlight of the range and is one I can’t wait to slather on. It is available in eight fragrances; I have my eye on the coconut. The range also includes a body scrub, shower gel, hand wash, and hand lotion. A tropical burst of goodness for the skin on my body sounds good to me and at a wallet-friendly price too. Available in M&S stores and on marksandspencer.com/ie
