Decorating a child’s bedroom is the opportunity to have fun and be playful when styling your home. Here are some fun ideas to try:

Room for two

At Creek Cottage in Cork, this pretty in pink girls’ room is full of cute details and coordinating accessories. The cushions are a mix of Peony and Sage fabrics and the curtains are from Clarabelle Interiors.

Boys club

At Ruth’s home in Meath, the room for her boys is a calming mix of blue-grey tones and pops of colour.

Since our visit she has added a gorgeous mural to the room too!

A sense of adventure

At this Dublin home, Alex’s room has lots of fun details with a propeller used for his name on the wall and an oar mounted on the wall to collect his medals.

Call of the wild

At this home in Louth, nature takes over this little boy’s room, filled with rainbows, animal-patterned wallpaper and with creatures hiding in the old fireplace.

Just monkeying around

Soft toys rule the roost at this family home in Cork. Creative use of paint makes smaller bedrooms feel bright and spacious, and a display of prints in the play room showcases places close to the family’s heart.

Operation transformation

This classic girl’s room in Katrina’s house was utterly transformed into a riotous burst of colour and fun since our visit. Here is the before:

And the after is simply wow!

This room will forever make me smile! It’s the last proper project I’ve done in the house and the next big big project is the girls playroom! I’ve so many crazy ideas in my head and I think I have to stop thinking and just go for it!! Hopefully I’ll start on the room next weekend it will involve, lots of paint, frog tape, decals and probably lots of breakdowns from me 🤣🤣🤣 ….wish me luck 😅 #mystylishplace #mystylishhome #myeclecticspace #myhomesense #irishinteriors #myirishhome #irishinteriors #myhomedecor #myhomedecor #myhouseandhome #rainbows #nursery #interior123 #interior444 #interiorismo #interior4you1 #interior_delux #mygorgeousgaff #mydiymydecor
