When the war broke out in Ukraine, Rosanna Davison was wracked with fear for a Ukrainian woman who had given her family the greatest possible gift. Anastasiia Berezan is the gestational surrogate who gave birth to her daughter Sophia and she was forced to flee her home city. Here is their unbelievable journey, from surrogacy to Anastasiia’s escape from Ukraine. (This article is available to read in Ukrainian here.)
