The Georgina Campbell Irish Breakfast Award winners have been announced — and the brunch winner is a café in Co Kilkenny

Breakfast at Arán

Make your bookings now, as there surely will be queues out the door at the award-winning brunch and breakfast spots that were celebrated as part of the Georgina Campbell Breakfast Awards.

This year, the Brunch of the Year category was opened up to public vote, and Arán Artisan Bakery & Bistro in Kilkenny was named as the winner.

Runners up were Seasalt Café & Deli in Cobh, Co Cork, Kelly’s Kitchen in Newport, Co Mayo, Sweet Geranium Café in Drumshanbo Co Leitrim, and Osta Café & Wine Bar in Sligo.

The winner of the Irish Producer Awards were:

  • Meat: McCarthy’s of Kanturk, Co Cork
  • Eggs: Belview Eggs, Drogheda, Co Louth
  • Dairy: The Little Milk Company, Dungarvan, Co Waterford
  • Fruit: The Apple Farm, Cahir, Co Tipperary
  • Preserves: Filligans, Glenties, Co Donegal

The Irish Bread Award went to Rua Deli & Café in Castlebar, Co Mayo.

In the hotel breakfast categories, the 5 star winner was Lough Erne Resort, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, the 4 star winner was Avalon House Hotel, Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny, and the 3 star winner was Eccles Hotel, Glengarriff, Co Cork.

The award for Best Irish Breakfast Menu at a hotel went to Limerick Strand Hotel, and the small stay winner was Lough Bishop House in Collinstown Co Meath.

The guest house winner was the Quay House in Clifden, Co Galway, and the B&B category winner was Sheedy’s Doolin Boutique B&B in Co Clare. The winning visitor attraction was Hillsborough Castle Café in Co Down.
