The new collection from H&M Studio lands on Thursday, here are some of the highlights from the ’70s disco-inspired range

H&M has become known for launching its new collections with a bang, whether its a collaboration with a high end designer or iconic sportwear brand, and this season is no different. The H&M Studio limited edition range tends to be slightly more out there in terms of design and more luxury is its finish. For AW20, the collection is described as “a little bit old world elegance and a whole lot of ’70s disco”.
One of the inspirations was David Bowie, and there is a beautiful azure blue suit that nods directly to the pop icon. As well as the bright blue, malachite green is a stand out shade throughout the range, alongside dusky pinks and pops of metallic.

“‘The Refined Rebel’ is inspired by those whose style is as daring as their attitude. The collection takes cues from the brave nineteenth-century writer Violet Paget (pen name Vernon Lee) and her residency in palatial Florence, and encapsulates her radically fearless style. The H&M Studio AW20 campaign will break from tradition by inviting Studio muses, Barbie Ferreira, Veronika Heilbrunner, Celeste, Alton Mason, Young Emperors and Mia Kong to co-create the campaign from their corners of the globe. Each talent will capture their unique interpretations of the collection; their style and individuality taking centre stage.”
