Perfume is a special kind of product, different from your everyday lipsticks or foundation. Scent is evocative; smelling a perfume you used to wear can spark instant nostalgia, transporting you back to a past time in your life. Whether you prefer floral or musky notes, catching a whiff of your favourite scent when you’re going about your day can instantly brighten your mood.

Here are our favourite new releases of the season. Feel free to put them on your Christmas wishlist and drop a few not-so-subtle hints. Or, even better, splurge and treat yourself on a new scent for the upcoming winter. You deserve it!

1. Tiffany & Co Tiffany & Love (€91)

Crafted by the much loved jewellery brand and inspired by the energetic spirit of New York City, this brand-new scent is hotly anticipated. With modern, woody notes, the fragrance is fresh and romantic without being overpowering. Plus, the iconic blue bottle will look beautiful on your dressing table. Pick it up in Arnotts and Brown Thomas from mid-October.

2. Aqua di Pharma Camelia (€195)

Aqua di Pharma’s fragrances are always exquisite, and their new release is no exception. The sophisticated floral perfume has notes of bergamot, magnolia, sage, and jasmine. At the pricier end of the spectrum, it’s not something you’d buy on a whim, but it is sure to be a perfume you will cherish.

3. Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee (€130)

This fragrance contrasts vanilla with woody moss, making a warm scent that is perfect for the winter season. While the scent is unisex, it is not too dark or heavy, and it is ideal if you’re not a lover of floral scents.

4. Jo Malone London Poppy & Barley Cologne (€54)

Jo Malone is a firm favorite of ours for fragrance, and this scent is no different. Lively and vibrant, the perfume evokes rose, violet, and blackcurrant. The fragrance is described as a “living landscape”, and it calls to mind serene memories of relaxing days spent outside. A beautifully calming, relaxing scent.
