If you want flawless skin in time for spring, now is the time to find a routine that gives you the results you deserve

Have you left the house recently without makeup and been described as looking ‘tired’ by a well-meaning friend or family member?

It’s not necessarily that you are tired, it’s that your skin is exhausted and probably dehydrated from the late nights, rich food, strong drinks and general mayhem associated with the Christmas season.

We all love the idea of looking fresh-faced and healthy without the aid of excessive makeup or bronzing products but overall skin health is like a puzzle made up of lots of different pieces. Skincare, exercise, diet, mindfulness, sleep all have to be put together to achieve optimal health and well-being. Small changes in these routines are key to revitalising your skin and well-being.

To help with this, Sásta Skin Health has curated the perfect guide for a realistic springtime reset:

1. Exercise
Revitalise your heart, mind and gut

Kickstart your microbiome reset with a brisk walk in the fresh air. Not only does this contribute to heart health and mental well-being, but it also positively impacts gut health, a key element for healthier skin. Sásta’s Microbiome Booster Serum is also a great way to help repair your skin barrier thanks to its unique formulation of prebiotics and postbiotics.

2. Mind
Keep a gratitude journal for overall wellbeing

Embrace a daily gratitude practice by jotting down or vocalising three things you’re thankful for each evening. This simple routine can contribute to a positive mindset and overall well-being, impacting your skin health.

3. Diet
Nourish your gut with a rainbow of colours

Introduce a variety of colourful fruits and vegetables to your meals to feed and nourish your gut bacteria. Enhance your diet with probiotic foods like yoghurt and kefir, as well as prebiotic foods such as whole grains, greens, and fibre-rich options. Why not try and create your own smoothie at home?

Sásta Skin Health recommends a Skin and Gut-Loving Smoothie packed with antioxidants, fatty acids, and prebiotic fibre to support liver health, gut health, and radiant skin. Here’s what you need:

Ingredients:

Handful of kale (frozen works best)

1 tbsp milled flaxseed

1 tbsp oats

Antioxidant-rich fruits (pineapple, berries, mango, kiwi)

Water or milk of your choice

Optional extras: Collagen powder, Protein Powder, Vitamin C
