In a competitive market, there are several Irish drinks brands who stand out from the rest. From exciting start ups to innovative companies in farflung corners of Ireland, here are the Irish Made Awards Drinks category finalists. Cast your vote here.

Ballykilcavan Brewing Company

This brewery is based on the family farm in Stradbally in Co Laois, and unveiled a new visitor centre in a renovated 200-year-old mill on the property in spring of this year. The beers include Bin Bawn Pale Ale, Blackwell Irish Stout and Millhouse IPA. ballykilcavan.com

Boann Disitillery

Silks Irish Dry Gin is distilled in small batches by Boann Distillery using botanicals like apple blossom, honey, elderflower and hawthorn that are hand foraged in the family orchards at the foot of the Hill of Tara. Causeway Coffee

Founded by Graham Watts and Chris McDaid, Causeway Coffee is roasted and packed at their base in Ballymoney, Co. Antrim. This speciality coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified and the brand is passionate about transparency and provenance. causewaycoffee.com

Kinsale Mead Co.

Founded in 2016 by Kate and Denis Dempsey, this is the first meadery in Ireland in 200 years. Mead (Miodh in Irish) is the world’s oldest alcoholic drink, unique in that its primary ingredient is pure honey. kinsalemeadco.ie

Sliabh Liag Distillers

An Dúlamán Irish Maritime Gin is distilled by Sliabh Liag Distillers in Ardara, Co Donegal. It incorporates five seaweeds foraged off the coast of Donegal. It is distilled to a London Dry Single Shot standard and hand bottled in Donegal, and it is now sold in over 35 countries. sliabhliagdistillers.com

Solaris Botanicals

Tribe Irish Gin

Tribe Irish Gin was created by four friends from Galway. While the gin is distilled in Listoke Distillery in Co Louth, it is very much a celebration of the best ingredients in the West of Ireland. The brand launched in 2021, and already offers a unique gin school experience in Galway. tribegin.ie

Beara Bitters

Using organic apple brandy from Kilkenny as a base, Beara Bitters is flavoured with organic herbs and spices and Irish aromatic botanicals, for a sophisticated cocktail ingredient. bearabitters.com
