Our judges had the incredibly difficult task of whittling down the entrants of the Irish Made Awards 2021 and we are so excited to reveal our list of finalists in this issue. There are 116 talented makers across 10 categories, and now it’s time for you to vote for your favourites at irishcountrymagazine.ie/vote.

Land of storytellers

With OMGWACA, new novels from Sally Rooney, Roddy Doyle and more incredible Irish authors due in the coming months, we take a deep dive into the Irish literary landscape. We look at not just the forthcoming books that need to be on your reading list this year, but also the top Irish books of the past decade, the groundbreaking Irish female writers you need to know, and timeless favourites to read again.

Architects of style

Mary Cate Smith interviews tastemakers and designers who are changing the fashion world and making it more inclusive with adaptive designs. In our fashion shoot, stylist Anne O’Shea showcases sustainable Irish design in a beautiful photoshoot in Co Mayo.
