Here’s what to look out for and look forward to in our high summer issue

The brand new edition of Irish Country Magazine is here, and it’s jam-packed with great features on all our favourites – fashion, food, beauty, home, wellbeing & more! Here are the top things to enjoy this issue:

1. Jenny Greene sets the record straight

The DJ and radio presenter tells us about how she felt during her departure from RTÉ 2FM earlier this year, only for the station to do a U-turn and reinstate her in the drive time schedule with her very own show. In her inspiring interview, alongside a beautiful shoot overlooking Dublin city, she also talks about the her wonderful friendship with her former co-host Nicky Byrne, and shares wise words on how she has no time for comparing herself to others.

2. Me time

This summer, and all year round for that matter, we’re all about taking time out of our busy lives to allow to for self reflection, development and understanding. And inside July/August issue, we’ve got fantastic reads on how you can take back control from your smartphone and use it to benefit your health; the relatively new idea of doctors prescribing social interaction; and we meet the women who’ve used sea swimming to benefit their bodies and minds.

3. Fashion focus

Fashion journalist Ruth O’Connor was on a mission to discover what style-savvy Irish women pack for their holidays, so she asked some well-known faces with very different tastes to divulge their suitcase secrets. Also inside, top model Jan de Villeneuve shows us the standout looks of the season (she’s been on the covers of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, to name a few!).

4. Beauty buys

We have the travel-friendly beauty buys, the latest launches to know, and Aisling Keenan investigates natural deodorants – are they better for your body?

5. Time to inspire

Delicious surf & turf barbecue recipes to try this summer, gardening tips from the experts, plus the best accessories for creating a stylish home office – there’s loads to discover in interiors, gardening & food.
