Enjoy the Irish landscape in all its glory by dining outdoors during the fine weather – here are some of our favourite locations

The Towers, Westport, Co Mayo

The Towers Garden is synonymous with summer in Westport and hugely popular with locals and tourists who flock to the gorgeous garden bar to enjoy great food and drink, incredible views and immaculate vibes.

Avoca, Kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow

The Fern House at Avoca Kilmacanogue is a beautiful, light-filled table-service restaurant built in the style of a Victorian glasshouse. There are outdoor tables available and it’s open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week.

Sheen Falls Lodge, Kenmare, Co Kerry

What better way to spend an afternoon than enjoying the serenity of Kenmare Bay with a gourmet Boathouse picnic, prepared by the expert team at Sheen Falls Lodge, as you sit back and take in the scenery and the gentle waters passing by? Heaven.

As well as an incredible wine list and delicious food options, there’s an impressive bar and outdoor seating under heated umbrellas, benefitting from the tucked-away peace of this quiet landscaped square in Dublin 8.

This terrace at the Heritage hotel is a spacious outdoor dining area serving lunch and dinner from Seven Bar, with scenic views of the golf course. The impressive building is open from all sides, with a retractable roof for optional added sunshine when the weather allows.

Even if you’re not staying overnight, the Carriage House Terrace at Adare Manor is a sunny spot to enjoy a relaxed menu including steak and chips, pizza from the wood fired oven and a delicious cocktail list.

Sophie’s Rooftop Restaurant and Bar at The Dean – Cork, Galway, Dublin

Stylish and fun, Nóin is sheltered, heated and brimming with quirkiness and charm. Food is served all day from The Pins Gastrobar  as well as The Twelve’s wine list and cocktail menu until 9pm nightly. And the best bit is… dogs are welcome too!
