Storyteller to bring Irish folklore to life at Bewley’s, Dublin
You can’t beat a story told by a professional storyteller! Brendan Atkins is on a mission to spread the word of old myths and legends of Irish heroes, such as Fionn Mac Cumhaill and Cú Chulainn and the lesser-known folktales our culture has begun to forget. Two storytelling sessions will take place in Bewley’s on Easter Monday, from 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm, both aimed at children aged six-11. Kids will be treated to a Bewley’s signature hot chocolate and our chef’s favourite Easter treat and parents can indulge in an Easter Tower – a seasonal take on Afternoon Tea.
Easter activities on Limerick Greenway
There’s plenty of fun to be had on the Limerick Greenway this Easter! The public is being encouraged to explore the scenic 40km off-road experience over the holidays with activities and adventures for all in each of the Hub towns plus on the greenway itself. Visitors are invited to check out some Easter fun at Barnagh Greenway Hub, including: Easter Hunt & Fancy Dress on Saturday, 19 April from 12pm to 2pm. This event is ideal for the whole family and suitable for kids aged 2-10 years.
An Easter tour at EPIC Museum
For something completely outside the ordinary this Easter, step into a thrilling interactive adventure at EPIC museum as it transforms into the scene of a literary mystery from 17-22 April! You’ll join Sherlock Holmes in a race against time to restore order at the museum, where magical book portals have released beloved characters into the real world. It’s up to you and your family to help Holmes track clues, solve riddles, and return the escapees to their rightful stories.
Easter at Airfield Estate
Airfield Estate is Dublin’s only working urban farm and gardens and has a busy Easter schedule filled with exciting activities and events for the whole family until 27 April. The most exciting one is a new Fairy Trail. Here, kids will discover hidden miniature fairy houses in the towering trees, explore the fairy village, and visit fairy school in the food garden where they can learn all about where their food comes along with speciality fairy crafts. And of course, there are cute spring lambs to meet along with the estate’s hens, pigs, donkeys, Jersey and Irish Angus cows.
