Emphasise your eyes when wearing a mask

As face coverings make strong lip colours obsolete for now, now is the time to rediscover dramatic liners and lashlifting mascara

We’re all encouraged to wear masks in places where it is not possible to practise social distancing — which is going to change how we wear makeup.

In the coming weeks and months as we start to have more of a social life again, it is highly likely that you will need to pop on a mask at a moment’s notice.

You certainly won’t want to get caught out like Laura Whitmore, who regretted her decision to do a red lip when she was getting a taxi over to a friend’s house.

Instead, let your eyes do the work. Aim for fuller lashes, eyecatching liner and play around with colour.
