Where to shop: Born & Bred, Belfast

Discover talented makers from Northern Ireland and support the thriving artistic community at this Belfast shop and studio

Northern Ireland has a wealth of brilliant makers, and Born & Bred shop is the place to go to discover them.

Artist Linzi Rooney founded Born & Bred in 2014. It is a shop and studio for local makers to sell online and offline, to come together to learn and to be inspired.

The shop has a brilliant ethos, which you can read about here, not only encouraging people to support local, care for the environment and make quality designs, but also encouraging artists to practice self care, so that they can do their best work.

As well as a signature Born & Bred range, the shop stocks food, gifts and homewares.

Upstairs, artists in residence share studio space that is open to the public, so shoppers can interact with the artists. Children and dogs are welcome for a look as well. We love that there is also a mentoring programme in place for makers too.

Find Born & Bred at 60-62 Anne Street, Belfast (you can’t miss the bright yellow exterior, inspired by the H&W cranes), or visit wearebornandbread.com to shop online.
