As we prepare for Punchestown Festival to take place from Tuesday, 28 April, Bollinger Best Dressed lead judge Jess Colivet shares her race day style tips.
Jess Colivet is a Kildare-based stylist and personal shopper who certainly knows a thing or two about style. Elegant and chic are two words that spring to mind when describing Jess’s style. After a number of years, Jess is well experienced in leading the Style Council at the Bollinger Best Dressed Competition at Punchestown Festival. Here, Jess shares what she and the council will be looking out for on the day.
Take a fresh look at your own wardrobe
Shop your wardrobe. Sometimes it is about reimagining pieces you already love. Adding new accessories or mixing colours in a different way can completely transform a look. Why not borrow, trying a dress rental, or even upcycling a piece you already have to give it a fresh feel.
Choose comfort, especially when it comes to shoes
No matter how beautiful the outfit is, if you are not comfortable, it shows! Go for shoes you can walk and stand in with ease, if you have a new pair break them in. You will enjoy the day so much more.
Do not overlook grooming
Hair, makeup, and nails all play a part in the overall look. When everything feels polished and put together, it adds a lovely sense of confidence and elegance.

Have fun with your headpiece
A beautiful headpiece really is the finishing touch. It is your chance to have a bit of fun and add personality, whether that is something bold or something more understated.
Let your personal style shine through
The best looks are always the ones that feel authentic. Wear something that truly reflects you. When you feel like yourself, you naturally carry it with confidence, and that is what really stands out.
