Irish creativity and design is at an all-time high – what’s not to love?

Cloon Keen’s ‘Báinín’

“I have been constantly spritzing myself with Cloon Keen’s new scent ‘Báinín’, which takes its name from the homespun wool that is traditionally knitted through Aran jumpers. This beautiful perfume, made in Galway, has a wool accord combined with citrus, gorse, white flowers, jasmine and unripened pear. It was created alongside perfumer Celine Guivarch to “unfurl like the softest strands of creamy-white wool” with a surprising freshness and warmth. I love the scent, I love the story behind it, and I love that everytime I use it and I’m asked about it, I get to say that it is Irish-made.” – Niamh, Acting Editor

Peacach – IMLÉ

“I admit to being slightly obsessed with Irish language band IMLÉ’s song ‘Peacach’ the main title song for the new Netflix series Bodkin. The song is pulled from IMLÉ’s self-titled 2016 album, a truly unique mix of poetry, pop and rap as Gaeilge.” – Ciara, Art Director

Rosie & Dott ‘Le Grá’ Collection

“This month I’m loving Rosie and Dotts new collection “Le Grá” The love and attention to detail that has been poured into this collection is so beautiful. They are the perfect accessories for your special bridal events or just to glam up any look for the summer months to come. From dainty gold chains to pretty pearls, it’s so feminine and elegant.” – Megan, Journalist

Lennon Courtney X Kilkenny Design

“I am loving the latest Lennon Courtney X Kilkenny Design collection. The campaign itself features five inspiring women each working in various roles in Kilkenny stores nationwide. I love that the team used this as an opportunity to champion their own staff while creating something beautiful.
The collection is inspired by the pagan goddess Bealtaine and is a 53 capsule piece collection featuring the design duos trademark love of pops of colour. In addition, they have a striking home accessories range. I want everything.” – Elle, Acting Deputy and Beauty Editor

HOPE: How Street Dogs Taught Me The Meaning of Life

“Anyone who knows me or follows me on Instagram will know that I am obsessed with Niall Harbison’s work. If you haven’t heard of him, he’s an Irish man hoping to solve the global street dog problem by rescuing, rehoming and neutering as many dogs as he and his team can. He has amassed over a million followers online and last year he published a book telling the remarkable story of how he went from being a celebrity chef and the founder of multi-million euro businesses to living in the Thai jungle, saving dogs. Despite knowing many of the stories already, I have cried several times while reading this book and am so inspired by the astounding spirit and resilience of these beautiful animals.” – Claire, Digital Editor
