We’re shining a spotlight on the shops and entrepreneurs who cater for our four-legged family members

As the Irish Made Awards enter their eighth year, we want to recognise the role of our treasured pets in our homes and honour the businesses who create worthwhile products that enhance the quality of their lives.

With that in mind, we have created a brand new category for our 2024 event, specifically for pet products. This award is all about celebrating the shops and stores that stock Irish-made products for pets on their shelves and in online stores.

It also champions the work of companies and small businesses that have developed everything from pet accessories and clothing to safety devices, food, toys and much more besides.

Petmania is passionate about the wellbeing of animals and has kindly agreed to sponsor the Pet Award for 2024. The Irish-owned business is committed to setting the highest of standards in the specialist pet retail sector and shares the client’s love for their furry friends.

It employs almost 200 people throughout its stores, head office and distribution centre, and is proud to support local communities through the company’s education programme and adoption network. In addition to sponsoring the award, Petmania will be giving the winner of the Pet Category the opportunity to be listed in their stores.

Speaking about their involvement in the new category, Emily Miller, Marketing Manager with Petmania, said: “We’re delighted to be involved in this years Irish Made Awards and to support the new pet category. As an Irish, family-owned business, we know what’s involved in building a brand in the pet sector and we’re grateful for the opportunity to show our support to the wonderful Irish made products.”
