Aware is launching a range of adult education programmes for mental health. The three four to eight week programmes are designed to empower those living with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorders, as well as their support network, to build positive mental health and resilience for the future. Approximately 6000 adults took part last year, and the charity expects that demand will continue as the need for supports remains high in Ireland.

The Life Skills programme provides insight into methods to reduce the impacts of anxiety, stress and depression and for people who want to improve their mental health. The Living Well with Bipolar Disorder Programme for people with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. For people supporting a loved one experiencing depression, there’s the Relatives and Friends Programme. All are offered free of charge, with a wide range of times and locations on offer, including virtual options, to ensure they are accessible to all.

The courses offered commence on 25 April, and booking your place is advised as demand can be high. Sign up and read more at aware.ie. If you are impacted by depression, bipolar disorder, or other mood related conditions, you can contact Aware’s free support line seven days a week from 10am to 10pm on 1800 80 48 48.
