Deborah Donnelly is an accomplished artist, teacher and published author. Her work is in many collections all over the world and her books are in the Tate museum and Saachi gallery.
Deborah’s greatest commission was a giant 10ft by 10ft painting of a cow commissioned by the late chef Gary Rhodes for his restaurants.
During Covid Deborah started painting puffins. They represent a long and happy life. They are the longest living bird in Ireland and are believed to trigger the brain to be happy. Deborah uses a bright colourful palette and is known for her quirky animal paintings. Through social media Deborah strives to share her vision of expressionism with thousands of people and to encourage them to try and paint too. Her mantra is ‘expression beats depression’ and through her Youtube videos she makes painting look easy.
Her new line includes sketchpads and notebooks, cushions and paintings, all available from her studio shop in Marlay Park and on her website.
At the age of 44 Deborah has established herself as a bankable and collectable artist for her time. She is at her happiest at her easel in Marlay Park.
