Roe & Co Irish whiskey has teamed up with The Useless Project to run a virtual pop featuring local Irish brands

The first virtual pop up is set to take place on Saturday December 5 and run for three weekends across the month of December on the Roe & Co Instagram page @roeandcowhiskey. The virtual pop up will provide shoppers with a unique virtual experience that aims to support local Irish brands and businesses while providing unique gift options, just in time for Christmas.

At a time when traditional Christmas markets and pop-ups cannot go ahead, this is a great opportunity to give makers a space to reach an audience in a challenging year.

The Useless Project has become known for their virtual flea market in recent months, and they have selected nine talented creators.

“Every time we spend money, we have the power to vote for the kind of future we want to see,” co-founder Taz Kelleher says.

“By becoming a conscious consumer, we get to decide which businesses thrive, and that’s a really empowering thing.”

Here, meet some of the Irish businesses who will feature in the pop up:

Kopper Kreations

Industrial homewares brand from Dublin, Kopper Kreation, creates stunning lamps and accessories from reclaimed pipes. Sustainability is at the heart of the Kopper Kreation ethos and all products are handmade and finished to enhance the natural qualities of the raw materials.

ELN

Belfast born streetwear brand ELN focuses on pieces that transcend the seasons and can be reworn and restyled. Each piece is sustainably and ethically sourced and created to last.

Nutshed

Based in Tipperary, Nutshed uses single origin runner peanuts to create roasted peanut products with just a pinch of sea salt.
