Support Irish as Gifted Fair goes online

Gifted – The Contemporary Craft and Design Fair at the RDS is postponed, but you can still stock up on all your Irish gifts at one place, from home

If you’re keen to support local and buy Irish this year, and a trip to Gifted – The Contemporary Craft and Design Fair is a part of your Christmas preparations each year, then consider GiftedFromIreland.com as your one stop shop.

The live Gifted event at the RDS has been postponed until 2021, but the team behind the fair has created GiftedFromIreland.com, a carefully curated marketplace featuring hundreds of makers and designers from across the country.

You will be able to browse Irish-made and Irish-designed products across categories like jewellery, kids, sustainable living, ceramics, artisan food, skincare and clothing. So even with restrictions in place, shoppers can still get the Gifted experience they have come to associate with Christmastime, as the fair has been running at the RDS for 40 years.

The website is live now, and is a brilliant opportunity for Irish makers to reach a wider market as part of this e-commerce hub, especially in such a challenging year for retail.

“We know that the thousands of people who normally come to Gifted in the RDS, will be every bit as disappointed as we are that the fair won’t take place this year. But we want to make sure that our visitors can still find all of their favorite products and makers online and in one place. It also allows us to reach out to Irish craft and design fans internationally,” Gifted organiser Patrick O’Sullivan says.
