Here comes the groom! Style inspiration for your man’s big day

Wedding fashion isn’t all about the bride – there are plenty of grooms-to-be who want a great selection to choose from for their big day

The pandemic changed a lot of things about the way we live and there’s no denying that the wedding industry is one that has taken the lessons learned over that period and adapted to reflect new demands by engaged couples.

While there are still many people who will have the giant blowout ceremony with several hundred guests and all the trimmings, there are lots more who are opting to embrace a smaller wedding, a more casual affair or have a quiet civil service with family and celebrate with a party at a later date.

With that in mind, it’s worth noting that wedding fashion trends have changed too, especially for men. The formal morning suit or navy two-piece with tan shoes – although still classic outfits – are certainly no longer the only ways to go.

We have curated some of our favourite looks from Pinterest to show you some other options, depending on the type of ceremony you have chosen:

Want to start putting these looks together? Take a look at a few options in store now:

Green suit – Next

This soft green three-piece suit from Next contains motion-flex stretch for added comfort. The jacket has a floral lining and dual hand pockets.

Pink suit – Marks and Spencer

Not only does this two-piece pink suit from Marks and Spencer look amazing, it’s also incredibly budget-friendly. Although it’s a slim-fit, it has added stretch for all-day comfort.

Textured waistcoat – ASOS Design

This super-skinny textured waistcoat from Asos features a contrast back with adjustable cinch for maximum comfort throughout the day.

Powder blue suit – Moss Bros

A tailored fit, light blue flannel suit can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. Add a waistcoat, dickie bow or patterned tie to showcase the theme of the wedding.

Braces and dickie bow – ASOS (Noak)

Whether or not you’re having a blacktie wedding, you can have fun with your suit by adding braces and a bowtie. For added visual effect, get a set to match the colour theme of the wedding or pair with a patterned pocket square.

Linen suit – Zara

This relaxed fit linen suit is stylish and comfortable while also being ideal for destination weddings. Style with an open-necked white shirt and trainers for a beach wedding!

Check suit – Benetti

This ‘Charles Stone’ check waistcoat and jacket is a great way to break up a navy or blue-themed suit. Go formal for the big day as a three piece suit or stay smart casual post-wedding in the stone blazer with trouser or denim.
