DropChef launches limited edition ‘All Irish’ meal kits with chef Caomhán de Brí

Irish women brave Arctic wilderness for worthy cause

Congratulations to the brave, all-female group who jetted off to an Arctic wilderness on 13 March after a €100,000 fundraising drive. The 14-strong crew left Dublin airport for a week-long expedition to raise awareness about women’s heart health. The team had been training for a year for the Irish Heart Foundation’s Arctic Challenge – part of the charity’s ‘Her Heart Matters’ campaign. Luxury Irish brand unveils its first unisex fragrance

VIP guests were treated to an unforgettable evening as Cork-based fragrance business La Bougie launched their highly anticipated unisex fragrance, Cedar Atlas, at PITCH Ireland with rugby players Bundee Aki and Conor Murray. Attendees were welcomed with a selection of carefully crafted drinks, including Whiskey Sours, Pornstar Martinis, and pints of Guinness. Guests included Triona Mc Carthy, Niamh O’Sullivan, Isabel Gleeson and Joanna Cooper.

Pieta launches Darkness into Light 2025 campaign

Thousands of people all around the country take part every year and if you’re one of them, you’ll know what a special day it is. The annual Darkness Into Light event will take place on Saturday, 10 May. This year’s campaign will be fronted by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter RuthAnne, who will serve as the 2025 Darkness Into Light ambassador.

Hairdressers come together to support a unique fundraiser for their local hospice

Staff at Reflections Hair and Beauty salon in Kilcoole, Co Wicklow, are handing over an hour of their pay during the month of April in the ‘Your Finest Hour For Hospice’ fundraising drive, organised by Together for Hospice. They are now encouraging employees right across Ireland to do the same. Employers can register for the initiative at finesthour.ie, where donations can also be made. 

Research reveals the county with the highest number of female entrepreneurs

Hike to Ireland’s best small festival while raising money for charity

Globally-trained pastry chef opens patisserie in her hometown

Lauren McLoughlin – a native of Drumcliffe, in Co Sligo – opened the doors to Lauren’s Patisserie on Adelaide Street earlier this year. A qualified pastry chef with more than ten years’ experience working in some of the most celebrated patisseries in the world, she honed her skills at renowned establishments including Gleneagles in Scotland, Ashford Castle in Ireland, Le Petit Caporal in France, and Peggy Porschen in London. 

Irish toy company announces partnership with massive global brand

Innovative Irish toy company, HoloToyz, specialises in bringing kids toys to life and has now entered an exciting new partnership with Mattel, the owner of one of the most iconic brand portfolios in the world. 11-year-old girl wins gold for Ireland at European MMA Championships

11-year-old Tramore native Freya Marsh won the Gold Medal at The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation 2025 IMMAF European Championships in Belgrade, Serbia earlier this year. It was Freya’s debut International MMA competition outing, as she has previously only competed in Jiujitsu competitions. The win also gives the Waterford athlete the title of ‘youngest Irish female’ to be awarded this gold medal.
