Minimal, everyday jewellery that looks good with any outfit

Statement pieces may not feel appropriate right now. But if you are the type of person that doesn’t feel fully dressed without your jewellery, try these pared back, simple looks from Irish brands

Iris necklace, Emma by Jane (€99)

While no one is complaining about wearing our comfiest clothes everyday during lockdown, it’s natural to miss the little luxuries too. There is a lot to be said for the office wardrobe staples that make us feel confident, the heels that make us want to dance and the jewellery that elicits smile with every glance in a mirror, all lying idle in our wardrobes for now.

We are dressing more simply and with less care than we would ever have before, but for many, a simple piece of jewellery can make you feel ‘together’. Rings are not the most practical at the moment, with all the handwashing, and statement looks may be overkill for the supermarket, even if it is our only outing every week.

But if you’re the type of person who feels naked without your jewellery, opt for a minimal necklace or simple pair of earrings. We may be dressing for comfort right now, but it doesn’t mean we have to forgo the finishing touches that make the heart sing.
