Queer Punk and Goth Pride Night: 22 June

Fibber Magee’s Pride spectacular will be a night of queer punk and goth, and include the only punk rock drag show in Ireland. Other acts include kink performer Fibula and punk rockers Coathanger Solution, as well as a DIY Queer Market. Expect alternative anthems and obscure tunes from punk, Riot grrrl, post punk, goth, EBM, darkwave and lots of bangers.

The event takes place at Fibber Magees in Dublin city on Thursday, 22 June from 9pm to 2.30am and tickets are €8 (available at the door only).

40th Anniversary Dublin Pride Parade: 24 June

Since the first Dublin Pride March in 1974 and the first Pride Parade in 1983, it has grown to be one of the biggest and most popular events in Ireland. Over the years, the route has changed and this year, a number of enhancements to improve both the visible impact of the Parade and its flow and movement have been made.

Individuals do not need to register for the parade so you can just turn up on the day and join in the march. All organisations and groups that are committed to the values of Pride, and support inclusion and equality for the whole LGBTQI+ community are welcome. See dublinpride.ie for more details.

Navan Pride: 26 June – 1 July

Navan’s first ever Pride festival kicks off this year with a week-long festival of events celebrating diversity and emphasising solidarity with the LGBTQ+ family, friends and neighbours in Navan town. Starting on 26 June, events and activities include film screenings, an open mic night and Drag Bingo!

See navanpride.ie for further information.

Wicklow Pride: 1 July

After the success of the Arklow Pride Festival they organised in 2014, Dave Thomas and his civil partner Patrick Bracken expanded it to encompass the entire county of Wicklow from 2015. Now in it’s eighth year, the festival promotes equality for all, inclusivity and the acceptance of diversity.

They’re also making history this year with the first ever Wicklow Pride Festival Parade in Wicklow town on 1 July. See wicklowpridefestival.com for more details.

Kerry Pride Kingdom: 10 – 16 July

If you’re visiting Kerry in July and looking to celebrate Pride, you’re in luck! With events like drag brunches, film screenings, a prom queen musical, art classes, hikes and swims happening in the likes of Killarney, Cahersiveen, Tralee and Kenmare, there’s something to suit every age and taste.

See kingdompride.ie for lots more information on events and schedules around the county.

Drogheda Pride: 19 – 23 July

With five days of events for the whole community to enjoy, Drogheda Pride Festival is set to be bigger and better than ever this year! It has everything from cracking late night shows to educational talks, a family fun day out, a Pride Breakfast event and concludes with a Madonna and ABBA tribute act.

Cork’s LGBTQ+ Pride Festival: 30 July – 6 August

The theme of the 2023 Cork LGBT+ Pride Festival is “30 Years On” to mark three decades since the decriminalisation of homosexuality in Irish law. This year’s fabulous Cork Pride Parade will take place on Sunday 6 August, with Wild Youth reported to be the headline act for its post-parade event, ‘Party at the Port’.

Keep an eye on corkpride.com and its social channels for updates about events and activities.

Galway Pride: 7 – 13 August

Galway Community Pride week takes place from 7-13 August. If you’d like to be part of the Galway Pride parade or have an event that you think would be well suited to it, the committee wants to hear from you! In the meantime, keep your eyes open for fundraising events, pre-pride events, as well as events by folks within the community.

See galwaypride.ie for more details.
