Take a trip to one of these garden centres around Ireland to spruce up your outdoor living space in time for the warmer months

The weather is good, the sandals are out and it’s finally time to take your summer wardrobe from it’s vacuum-packed winter hibernation. Whether or not you’ve got holidays planned, there’s nothing quite like relaxing in your own back garden or patio after a long day with a cool sip of your favourite beverage.

If your garden isn’t quite the oasis you’d like it to be, take some inspiration from these beautiful garden centres from around the country:

Johnstown Garden Centre – Naas, Co Kildare

Describing itself as having ‘a tradition of quality for over 45 years’, Johnstown Garden Centre has become a popular meeting spot and relaxing destination for visitors and locals alike. Conveniently located with ample free car parking, the centre has a fantastic dining area, is fully wheelchair accessible and boasts a comprehensive selection of plants, seeds, furniture and all the accessories needed to enjoy outdoor entertaining, gardening and nature.

Ballyseedy Garden Centre – Tralee, Co Kerry

This Irish-run family garden centre has been in business for over 30 years and offers a fantastic day out for the whole family with its fabulous array of Irish brands – from clothing and crafts to furniture and food. The café is open seven days a week, serving hot food until 4pm and there is also a brilliant play area for children to blow off some steam!

Clonmel Garden Centre – Clonmel, Co Tipperary

Clonmel Garden Centre is one Ireland’s top garden centres in recognition of its excellent customer care and broad range of quality products. With its restaurant open seven days a week for indoor or outdoor dining, it’s the perfect spot for meeting up with friends for brunch and having a browse through the latest plant and flower deliveries in store.

Tullyvin Garden Centre – Cootehill, Co Cavan

Tullyvin Garden Centre is a small family run business located in Cootehill, Co Cavan. It offers a wide selection of plants, garden and lifestyle products to cater for all experience levels and is dedicated to helping its customers find exactly what they’re looking for.

Newlands Garden Centre – Clondalkin, Co Dublin

With a wonderful 100 seater café and bakery that is now at the heart of the shop as well as plenty of outdoor seating, Newlands Garden Centre is a fantastic place to while away a few hours with the family. As well as furniture giftware and clothing departments, there’s also an excellent pet and aquatic department to keep the children occupied.
