Attending weddings is great fun but it can also be very expensive. These wedding guest dresses are budget-friendly while also being super stylish

Summer is the season for weddings and if you have more than one lined up, chances are you may be in the market for a new outfit.

Of course, the most budget-friendly option is to re-wear something you already own or borrow something from a friend or relative, but sometimes it’s nice to have something new for an extra special occasion.

While you can’t control the price of hotels, petrol or any other costs you may incur on the day, you can control how much you spend on your outfit. With that in mind, here are eight fabulous wedding guest dresses that will leave you with plenty of cash left over for accessories!

Carraig Donn: Sara midi dress in plain pink – €55 (Currently on sale for €44)

This stunning long-sleeved pink midi dress from Carraig Donn is ideal for an outdoor wedding. It’s light and summery but has extra coverage in case it gets chilly.

Wardrobe+ : Zizi Catherine pleated dress in white – €55

Wearing a white dress to a wedding is still considered something of a faux pas but when it’s the base colour to a vibrant multi-coloured floral design, we reckon it’s fair game. This fabulous A-line dress has 3/4 length sheer bell sleeves and can be worn loose or with the belt to add structure.

iClothing: Spot print high necked midi dress – €59.95

There is so much to love about this iClothing dress from the ruffled hem and polka dot design to the high halterneck and luxurious belt nipping you in at the waist.

Zara: Printed midi dress – €59.95

This gorgeous midi dress from Zara features statement puff sleeves, a wide sweetheart neckline and elastic smock detailing at the back. It is a larger fit than normal so if you’re buying online it might be best to size down.

Very: High low lace dress in navy – €55

If you like darker colours but don’t want to wear black, navy is a beautiful option. This chic and elegant dress from Very would also work well for a winter wedding due to its timeless design and 3/4 length lace sleeves.

ASOS: Sleeveless chiffon oversized smock dress – €51.99

If ever there was a dress to let you enjoy each and every elaborate course at a wedding meal, this is it! Flowing, floaty and featuring the lime shade of the season, this gúna is high fashion at it’s most budget-friendly.

River Island: Pink satin floral high neck shift mini dress – €53

Wedding guest dresses don’t have to be long so if you’re ready to flaunt your legs, this floral print mini from River Island is a winner. The satin fabric is sleek and stylish topped off with that epic twist detail at the neckline. Full marks.

Dunnes: Savida print tiered midi dress – €40

How dreamy is this beautiful midi dress from Dunnes with narrow tiers leading up to a shirred bodice? Dainty straps top off the chic look which you could accessorise with a cream or baby blue cropped jacket or wrap.
