You’ve heard of dry shampoo but what about dry conditioner?

Dry conditioner could be the time-saving product you need in your life

We would bet good money that there are very few women in Ireland who don’t have a bottle of dry shampoo lurking somewhere in their bathroom or beauty cabinet.

It has become a mainstay of busy, modern life. When you don’t have time to wash your hair, a quick spritz of dry shampoo will mop up the grease, give you a much-needed boost of volume and bring life back to your blowdry.

It’s a hair must-have. Always.

But what about dry conditioner? If you’re new to the concept, you’re not alone. Although it has been around for years, it didn’t quite captured the imagination of the public in the same way as it’s sister product, dry shampoo.

However, as people learn more about it and look to take better care of their hair between washes, that might be set to change. Here are some of the benefits of using dry conditioner:

  • It moisturises and hydrates the ends of your hair
  • It evaporates on contact so doesn’t require water to take effect
  • It gives your hairstyle a more polished and sleek look
  • It can be used to defrizz and detangle dry or knotty hair from the midlength down
  • It adds smoothness and shine to dry ends

Having said all that, beauty experts warn that it’s not a replacement for traditional conditioner. If you have very dry, damaged or colour-treated hair, you will still need to give it regular deep conditioning treatments.

Here are a two great options if you’re thinking of trying one out:
