The month of June marks Pride Month, and serves as a reminder to support the brilliant movers, makers, and shakers of the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland. While it goes without saying that we should support these businesses all year-round, now is a good time to spread the love to the different enterprises in Ireland by shopping their products and creations.
Harry’s Nut Butter
Harry Colley was working as a chef in Fumbally Cafe in Dublin when his peanut butter project was born. His homemade peanut butter was loved by all who tasted it, and so he decided to launch his product in the mainstream foodie market. With five different flavours to choose from – coco buzz, pure peanut, and extra hot to name a few – you can spread it on toast or crackers, or add to your favourite dishes. There are a wealth of recipes available on the website for each flavour, so you’ll never be short of ideas. Each jar of peanut butter costs €39, and you can shop the merch for a branded hat or tote bag too.

Pearl Reddington
Irish knitwear designer Pearl Reddington creates contemporary bespoke knitwear with a penchant for neon yellow. Each bespoke garment is handmade to order, the creation of which consists of designing, sketching, pattern drafting, knitting and hand sewing; most of which takes place in Pearl’s studio in Raheny, Dublin. Each garment is made with the planet in mind, as Pearl uses only natural, biodegradable fabrics, alongside sourcing the wool in Ireland. Jill Deering and Gillian Henderson are the artistic duo behind Jill and Gill, creating fine art prints and wearable art for people who don’t shy away from bold prints, strong pops of colour and political statements. You can shop their creations online, which includes prints depicting strong female figures like Iris Apfel, Frida Kahlo, Sinead Burke, Mary Robinson and Greta Thunberg.
